Here, you’ll find care, community, resources, and a fresh start—one step at a time. Frequently Asked Questions

We welcome women who are 18 years or older (or legally emancipated minors) who are experiencing housing instability and are looking for a safe, structured environment to rebuild their lives.

To be eligible, you should:
✔ Apply voluntarily
✔ Be medically stable and able to care for yourself
✔ Not pose a danger to yourself or others
✔ Be willing to follow community living guidelines

Some additional health screenings, such as for COVID-19, may be required.

Wildflower Nest is home to women from all walks of life—those transitioning out of difficult situations, seeking recovery, or simply looking for a safe space to heal and grow.

We are a diverse, inclusive community, welcoming women of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals and immigrants.

Yes! Your privacy matters to us. All personal information is kept confidential.

The process is simple:

  1. Fill out our online application.
  2. Complete an interview and background check.
  3. If approved, we’ll help you plan your move-in!

We aim to process applications quickly, but the timeline depends on how soon we receive the required information.

Absolutely. Wildflower Nest was created to provide safety, structure, and support for women rebuilding their lives after trauma or abuse. You are not alone, and this is a place where healing begins.

We take care to match roommates based on compatibility and preferences, ensuring a respectful and comfortable living environment.

To keep our home safe and supportive, we ask all members to:
✔ Follow the House Rules
✔ Respect shared and personal spaces
✔ Participate in community meetings and activities

No, for the safety and privacy of all members, we maintain a strict no visitors/guests policy.

Every woman’s journey is unique, so we don’t set a strict timeline. Whether you need a few months or a few years, we’re here to support your transition to independence.

While we hope to expand our services in the future, we currently cannot accommodate:

  • Women with children or pets
  • Those requiring intensive daily medical care
  • Individuals with severe cognitive impairments that prevent participation in community activities
  • Those with certain criminal convictions (e.g., sexual offenses, arson, violent crimes)
